Though previous bike mechanic experience is always welcome, it is not required to volunteer with the Bike Works. Everyone in our community, regardless of skill level, can volunteer. We have tasks for all ability levels from helping to organize tools or parts to refurbishing bikes and everything in between. All we ask of our volunteers is that you be respectful to everyone, come ready to learn, and roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. When you come to volunteer we ask that you dress appropriately. Please no open-toed shoes or clothes that you do not want bike grease on.

The Bike Works is always looking for individuals with previous bike mechanic experience to join our volunteer staff, or volunteers who commit to regular hours to help run the workshop. They are integral to the success of our mission related programs and services. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to help teach education classes, work open shop nights, or double check volunteer repairs for our community bike programs. If you are interested please talk to the volunteer staff at our workshop about this great opportunity to give back in a meaningful way.
